On September 17, 1944, the Allied forces launched a daring airborne operation to secure crossings over the Rhine River and advance into northern Germany.
While the operation succeeded in capturing the Dutch cities of Eindhoven and Nijmegen, along with many other towns, it failed in its most critical objective: securing the bridge over the Rhine at Arnhem. This operation is known as Operation Market Garden.
Eighty years later, we remember the more than 41,000 airborne soldiers who fought for our freedom. The musical score 'Liberty' was written specifically for these soldiers and was featured in the memorial documentary released on September 17, 2024.
